The Sirius Planning team has successfully helped to secure planning for 55 new holiday lodges close to Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Catwick Grange Holiday Park is located between the villages of Brandesburton and Leven in an area where tourism continues to grow.
FCC Environment Ltd has put forward the development plans for the site adjacent to the former quarry and restored landfill site, offering sustainable benefit to the community utilising a redundant site.
Following the Government’s announcements and commitment to reduce road vehicle emissions and make transport cleaner, Sirius Planning have recently obtained planning permission for the installation of Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) refuelling facilities in the East Riding of Yorkshire and South Derbyshire.
New, stand-alone vertical LNG storage tanks and dedicated dispenser pumps will be installed on existing refuelling stations, which will provide low carbon road transport fuel for medium and heavy goods vehicles under a commercial supply agreement.
Freight and logistics operators are increasingly moving their fleet vehicles from diesel to LNG and other biofuels, as the development of and use of LNG as a road transport fuel, provides substantial reduction in green-house gas emissions and climate change benefits through reductions in carbon, sulphur, particulate matter and nitrogen oxides; and reducing future oil dependence and energy scarcity provision.
These facilities form part of a wider programme by a global road fuel supplier to deploy a network of LNG refuelling stations across the UK, of which Sirius have been commissioned to provide planning consultancy services.
Sirius Planning is delighted to announce a successful result for our clients at SBC Renewables, securing planning permission for their new 5MW solar farm at Moneystone Quarry near Cheadle in Staffordshire.
Environmental assessments and planning permission
Over the years, Sirius Planning and Sirius Environmental (previously Stratus Environmental) has earned a great reputation for our proactive and effective support when it comes to helping clients to move forward with the renewable energy projects. Often, we combine a variety of our services and specialist knowledge in order to secure the necessary planning permission needed for these developments.
Our latest success story is a 5MW solar farm at Stormy West Landfill Site near Bridgend in South Wales, where we worked alongside our partners at SCB Renewables to identify and conduct a range of assessments in order to achieve planning consent.
Another successful project with our partners at SBC Renewables, we recently worked on a planning application for a 5MW solar farm development to be located at Penycae near Wrexham.
We were delighted to be asked to support our valued clients at First Renewable Developments with their planning application for a 5 MW solar farm at Harworth Estates Kellingley Colliery near Castleford.
