Planning success for Catwick Grange Holiday Park

Date: April/25/2019

The Sirius Planning team has successfully helped to secure planning for 55 new holiday lodges close to Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Catwick Grange Holiday Park is located between the villages of Brandesburton and Leven in an area where tourism continues to grow.

FCC Environment Ltd has put forward the development plans for the site adjacent to the former quarry and restored landfill site, offering sustainable benefit to the community utilising a redundant site.

Our planning team provided planning consultancy services for the holiday park development including 55 new timber style self-catering holiday lodges and a reception/amenities building.

Tourism plays an important role in the local economy and this development will contribute all year round. In addition to the economic gains the development will bring, it will also provide wider green infrastructure, landscaping and biodiversity improvements to the area.

The role of the Sirius team

Our team of planning experts, working with FCC Environment Ltd, undertook pre-application consultations with East Riding Council of Yorkshire and prepared planning application documents.  Our work included the following environmental and technical assessments:

  • Landscape and Visual Appraisal
  • Flood Risk Assessment
  • Arboricultural Survey
  • Ecology Surveys
  • Preliminary Geo-Environmental Appraisal and
  • Transport Assessment.

Planning permission was successfully granted by East Riding Council of Yorkshire’s Planning Committee in April 2019.
