Sirius Geotechnical Ltd is looking to recruit a Principal/Associate Geoenvironmental Engineer to join their consultancy team based out of its Yorkshire office, located in Leeds, to work across a range of development sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, public and retail.
The role will involve project management, and management of a team of geoenvironmental engineers undertaking site investigations, to provide geotechnical and contaminated land advice, including design of cost effective remediation schemes to address both contaminated land and geotechnical constraints. The successful candidate will provide technical support to the Sirius group of companies involved in the assessment, reclamation and remediation of development land. Other responsibilities will include preparation of tenders, client management/development, review of technical reports and liaison with regulators.
Candidates are expected to have a degree in geology, environmental science or civil engineering (a second degree is preferable), be a member of an appropriate professional body and ideally, be a Chartered Geologist or Engineer.
The successful candidate will be required to work both as part of a team and under their own initiative, in a dynamic fast changing environment.
