We are recruiting a Graduate Geoenvironmental/Geotechnical Engineer

Date: May/10/2019

Sirius Geotechnical Ltd is looking to recruit a Graduate Geoenvironmental/Geotechnical Engineer to join their consultancy team based out of its North East Office, located in Durham. The post will involve working across a range of development sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial and retail.

Initially the role will be mainly site based, undertaking a mix of monitoring, and plot and gas measures validation duties, predominantly in the North of the UK, but UK travel to other Group offices and project sites should be expected as and when required. The successful candidate will report to a Senior Engineer.

Should the candidate prove competence and the necessary skill set, the role could quickly progress to supervision of environmental and geotechnical ground investigations, and office duties, such as the preparation of health and safety documents, scheduling of laboratory tests, process logs and field data, and assisting in geoenvironmental report writing.

The position is very much a forward-facing role and the successful candidate will be required to work both as part of a team and under their own initiative, in a dynamic fast changing environment.

We are therefore seeking a candidate who is a minimum of degree qualified in an appropriate geological/engineering field. The role requires no previous industry experience, but those with up to circa one years’ experience in the industry will be considered. This is an exciting time to join an expanding multi-disciplinary business involved in a diverse range of activities.
