Apprentice Site Engineers (Durham & Leeds)
Due to the continued expansion, Sirius Civil Engineering are recruiting two Apprentice Site Engineers to join the team.
The Role
Training will be provided with setting out on several multi-million-pound sites across the North East & Yorkshire. Typical duties include:
- • Set, level and survey the site
- • Maintain as built and QA records of the works as they proceed
- • Ensure that work performed is in accordance with the technical drawings
- • Act as the main technical authority on-site for operatives and subcontractors
- • Carry out management and supervision duties of operatives and subcontractors
- • Compile reports and other technical documentation such as QA and RAMS
- • Oversee quality and health and safety
- • Contribute to planning and effective organisation of the project
The Candidate
Applicants must have a passion for a career in civil engineering/construction and have an appetite to develop their career through continued professional development. Candidates must possess the following skills:
- • Excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be dealing with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- • High level of academic skills demonstrated via GCSE results or similar including Grade A in mathematics
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • A methodical worker, with a natural ability to problem-solving
- • Technically minded and open to learning how to use different types of technology and software
- • Excellent IT skills
