Press Releases - Sirius completes £3m project in Aberdeen

LAND REMEDIATION group Sirius has completed a £3 million contract in Aberdeen.  The company, which setup its first permanent Scottish office in the city at the end of last year, has concluded a long term land remediation project on the site of the former Donside Paper Mill at Tillydrone.

The Donside Urban Village programme will eventually see the 25 acres transformed into a modern, mix-use development featuring more than 200 affordable homes, 70 private properties and retail and commercial premises.

The contract was with the Devanha Group, a consortium of local housing associations.  Sirius director Pat Kane said “The scope of this project required us to carry out a great deal of specialist work over prolonged period of time to get the site at the stage it is now, and I am delighted that we have now completed the contract.”

“We are confident that our decision to establish a permanent presence in Aberdeen will prove to be a fruitful one for Sirius.  The Group founded in 2003 employs 120 staff and also has Leeds, Durham, Runcorn and Nottingham.
